Monti Inc., an industrial component manufacturing and fabrication company with offices in Ohio, South Carolina and now New Mexico, is opening its newest facility at 2690 Airport Road in Santa Teresa, New Mexico, the company said in a news release.

Set to open this fall, the 80,000-square-foot facility “showcases Monti’s commitment to growth and desire to support our customer base in the El Paso and Ciudad Juarez area as well as serve current and future customers in the Western U.S. and Mexico,” the release said.

"We are thrilled to announce the opening of our new location in Santa Teresa and look forward to bringing high-quality products closer to our customers,” said Monti Vice President of Sales and Marketing Gordon Narburgh. "This expansion has been made possible by the hard work of our teammates, who are constantly focused on providing timely, excellent service with an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. We are especially thankful for our loyal customers who have partnered with us in our journey to become an acknowledged industry leader."

The Santa Teresa location will feature copper bus bar, which is used for electrical grounding and electrical power distribution; sheet metal fabrication; along with a five-stage powder coating line, Monti said. Its Santa Teresa building will provide enough space for optimized product offerings, future growth, and the storage area necessary to better serve our customers with shorter manufacturing lead times as well as the ability to stock parts for quick shipments.

“We are excited to welcome Monti Incorporated to New Mexico,” said Melinda Allen, president and CEO of the New Mexico Partnership. “This project will bring quality jobs to the Santa Teresa area and enhance our manufacturing base in the region. Monti is one of several companies to recently select Santa Teresa to expand their operations because of the region’s impressive manufacturing talent and superior logistics capabilities.”

“We are already looking for world-class machinists and fabricators. Monti is committed to attracting and developing the finest advanced manufacturing talent in the area,” said Monti Vice President of Human Resources Molly Fender. “As we have proven over the last 52 years, not only does Monti continue to invest in new opportunities and the latest equipment, our highest priority is to invest in its greatest asset – our people. We offer extremely competitive wages and generous benefits.”

This is exactly the type of company that will help diversify southern New Mexico’s economy and create high-skilled, good paying jobs,” said Jerry Pacheco, a senior business advisor to New Mexico Partnership and president of the Santa Teresa-based Border Industrial Association.
