The Association, an organization promoting female professionals and entrepreneurs, hosted a mayoral ball on Jan. 20 to welcome new mayors Eric Enriquez of Las Cruces and Russell Hernandez of Mesilla to office and raise funds for charities of the mayors’ choosing. The black-tie event, held at the Farm and Ranch Heritage Museum, raised $8,000. Enriquez dedicated his share of the proceeds to the Mano y Mano day labor program and the Las Cruces PAL Boxing gym, while Hernandez dedicated his portion to the Community Foundation of New Mexico’s Greatest Needs Impact Fund.
