Men Who Cook set for Aug. 12

Mesilla Valley Hospice Foundation’s (MVH) 15th annual Men Who Cook fundraiser is 6-10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 12, at the Las Cruces Convention Center, 680 E. University Ave.

Tickets are $100 each. Advance tickets are available at Mesilla Valley Hospice, 299 E. Montana Ave. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Participating chefs will include Jesse Lopez of Jardin de los Niños, making Brisket Bite con Chile de Arbol y Queso Fresco, said event organizer and MVH Provider Relations Representative Staci Mays. Andrew Chavez with CB Holdings Realty will be making barbecue tacos, chicken mole and rice, and Ivan Saenz with Luchador Food Truck will be making carne asada tacos.

“Known as one of the most enjoyable events in Las Cruces, Men Who Cook is also known as largest fundraising event, benefiting Mesilla Valley Hospice,” MVH Foundation Executive Director Lorraine Padilla said. “It’s a really fun event. it’s a place to eat a lot of great food, find fellowship and support an excellent organization in the community.”

MVH is welcoming 2023 Men Who Cook sponsors. The last day to become a sponsor is Monday, Aug. 7.
