Starting on Friday, Oct. 7, the All-Original Open Mic is returning to the First Friday Art Opening at Cruces Creatives, 205. E. Lohman Ave., the nonprofit makerspace said in a news release.
The 6:30-9 p.m. showcase of local talent and creativity allows songwriters, poets, storytellers, comics and others up to 10 minutes to share their unique material with a live audience, Cruces Creatives said. And, its sound system can record live performances upon request.
There is no charge to attend the performances. Donations are accepted.
Cruces Creatives, which opened in 2018, “works to foster economic development, further education, support the arts, strengthen social connections and protect the environment throughout New Mexico by connecting people with the tools, training and community to make practically anything,” the news release said.
