Pizza Fest is Oct. 14 downtown

Las Cruces Pizza Fest is 6 p.m.-midnight Saturday, Oct. 14, at Plaza de Las Cruces, 100 S. Main St.

General admission and VIP tickets are $25-$60 and are available at lcpizzafest.evenbrite.com. Email lcbeerfest@gmail.com.

The event will include pizza sampling from local vendors with more than 20 different styles, along with beer, churros, candy apples, cotton candy, aquas frias, treats from Caliches and more. There will also be a car show, live music, DJs, local arts and crafts vendors and activities for the whole family.

El Paso comedian Jerry Karnes will be the emcee.

Event schedule

5-9 p.m.: a car show supporting Love Las Cruces (community gardens and food pantries, trash pickup and graffiti cleanup, Las Cruces-themed murals). There will be classic and lowrider cars, trucks and bikes.

• 6-7 p.m.: Blaze the Nation performs
• 6:45 p.m.: Frozen custard-eating contest, ages 12 and under
• 7 p.m.: Teen’s pizza eating contest, ages 13-15
• 7-8 and 9-10 p.m.: Sweet Nadine performs
• 7:10 p.m.: Adult pizza eating contest, ages 16 and older
• 8-9 and 10-11:30 p.m.: Satisfied performs
• 8-8:25 p.m.: Dough-tossing competition
• 9-9:15 p.m.: Speed box-building competition
• 10 p.m.: Best slide winner announced
• 11:30 p.m.-midnight: DJ Heyser with country jams
