Pride on the Plaza event

Event organizers said 1,000-1,500 people attended Southern New Mexico Pride’s Oct. 6 Pride on the Plaza event, and hundreds stretched out along main street for the first ever Las Cruces Pride Parade. “I talked to lots of people and all of the vendors at the plaza and every single person I spoke to said that this year's Pride Celebration was much better than previous year's and they are looking forward to next year,” said event organizer Robert Williams. “I also received lots of comments about how much fun the Parade was and that it was a great way to kick off the Pride Celebration. I personally had a great time and I always love how exciting it is to see all the smiles and the sheer good will that come with the Pride Celebration every year.”
