Posted

Project in Motion (PIM) will host the Above Borders Aerial Festival, Thursday-Sunday, Nov. 9-12,

PIM, local composer and musician Dallas David Ochoa and guest artists are collaborating on “Enchanted Journey,” a production that will highlight each day of the festival.

The four-day event “brings together innovative collaboration, daring athleticism, beautiful aerial dance and mesmerizing storytelling,” PIM said.

A festival meet and greet will be held at 7 p.m. Nov. 9 and will include food, drink and a silent auction. Tickets are $40, which includes a ticket to a performance of “Enchanted Journey.”

Email pimdance@gmail.com to reserve a seat.

“Enchanted Journey” performances are at 7 p.m. Nov. 10-11 and 2 p.m. Nov. 12. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children ages 12 and under.

Festival guest artists will include Marta Brown, a contemporary circus artist specializing in hand to hand, banquine and Cyr wheel, PIM said; and Sara Burleson, who has been dancing since age 5 and spent six years studying aerial arts and performing in Las Vegas, Nevada. Burleson is a Las Cruces High School graduate.

Ochoa is a singer/songwriter and guitarist. He has performed solo and with his band, Dallas Ochoa Trio, across the county, and his music is heard on a variety of platforms.
