Aggie fans can take in a Saturday doubleheader of sorts at the Pan American Center.

In a 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, game, the Aggie women’s basketball team (1-2) will host Portland State six days after getting their first victory of the season Sunday, defeating Incarnate Word 59-52. Four Aggies — Molly Kaiser, Sabou Gueye, Tylie Jones and Jaila Harding — all scored in double figures against Incarnate Word as NM State shot 25-for-47 overall and canned four of their nine three-point attempts.

The Aggie men’s basketball team is 2-2 after defeating Western New Mexico 78-43, Nov. 14.

Their game Saturday will start at 7 p.m. against Northern Colorado.

Leading scorers for the Aggie men on the young season are Jaden Harris with 12.8 points per game, and Robert Carpenter, averaging 11.3. Kaosi Ezeagu is the leading rebounder with 5.5 a game, and Jaylin Jackson-Posey leads the team with 18 assists.

In volleyball, the Aggies are on the road in Ruston, Louisiana, in the first round of the Conference USA postseason tournament. The Aggies finished the regular season 19-9 overall and 11-5 in conference, winning their last six matches and earning the No. 2 seed in the tournament.

They’ll play No. 7 seed Louisiana Tech 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 17.

The Aggie football team will take its six-game winning streak to Auburn, Alabama, Saturday, Nov. 18, to play the Tigers of the Southeastern Conference. Kickoff is at 2 p.m. Las Cruces time and the game will be broadcast on ESPN’s SEC Network and on 99.5 FM radio.
