Salvation Army Christmas assistance continues through Oct. 13

Local families in need can sign their children up to receive Christmas gifts through the Salvation Army of Las Cruces at 1590 California Ave. through Friday, Oct. 13, Salvation Army Capt. Michael Evans said in an email.

Signups are 10 a.m.-6 p.m. through Friday, Oct. 6, and then again Monday-Friday, Oct. 9-13, Evans said.

Families requesting assistance should bring a completed application form, proof of all income and a birth certificate for each of the children for whom the family is requesting gifts. The children must be ages 0-14, the adult(s) applying for assistance must be the children’s biological parents or have proof of guardianship and the children must live in their household, according to a Salvation Army flyer.
