Science Museum’s Feb. 15 Zoom presentation is on irrigation, stream restoration

The Las Cruces Museum of Nature and Science (MONAS) and Sigma Xi fraternity will host “Science Café – Irrigation and Stream Restoration” with guest speaker Skuyler Herzog, Ph.D. at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, via Zoom.

The presentation addresses the physical science of floodplain reconnection hydrology and a project considering the restoration of perennial flow of the Upper Crooked River near Post, Oregon, Las Cruces Museums said in a news release.

Herzog is an natural resources assistant professor at Oregon State University-Cascades in Bend, Oregon. He is a hydrologist specializing in groundwater-surface water interactions.
