Arista means ridge or edge in English, and Arista Development is putting the name to good use, as it moves to the cutting edge of the smart-home movement in Las Cruces, offering online home tours in the face of a public health emergency.
In response to COVID-19 and social distancing, Arista Development has “implemented a way to offer contactless home tours that do not even require the realtor to be present,” said Leah Messina of Sinuate Media, which represents Arista Development.
Arista can remotely unlock a home, so when prospective buyers or renters arrive, they “can tour the home at their leisure,” Messina said. When they leave, the doors are remotely relocked. In between visits, Arista staff sanitize the house, she said.
“I thought this was a clever way to remain respectful to our guidelines but still provide an essential service when moving cannot be put on hold,” Messina said.
