The 56th annual Southern New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo will be at the Doña Ana County Fairgrounds Wednesday, Sept. 27-Sunday, Oct. 1. You can buy advance tickets online at snmstatefairgrounds.net and scroll down to “Buy Tickets.” Tickets are $15 for ages 15 and older and are valid for one day only. You can also purchase a wristband for $27, which gives unlimited access to carnival rides on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Fair Manager Travis Brown said the fair expects 40,000 or more visitors this year, and has added a third rodeo performance and other entertainment and expanded fair hours.
