Solis announces for House Dist. 37

Posted

Isabella Solis has announced her candidacy for House District 37, running as a Republican. Her announcement is as follows:

“I want to thank the people of Doña Ana County for the honor of serving as your District 4 county commissioner the past four years. In serving I have met my commitments to my constituent’s roads and infrastructure, and there is more to be accomplished.

“My parents were migrant workers in the 1960’s. My father persevered and became a business owner in the cotton industry.

“I entered public service with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) as part of a team that provided disaster-recovery services following Hurricane Katrina. In 2006, I was honored to serve and help the people of Hatch into temporary housing while they rebuilt their lives.

“We need to restore our state government of the people, by the people and for the people, standing for liberty, justice and our freedoms.

“I am running for New Mexico House Representative District 37 to make New Mexico better, with more transparent and accountable government, improve our education system, economic growth, support our law enforcement, secure borders, not forgetting our most vulnerable: our children and senior citizens.

“My journey has cut party lines and trampled barriers that traditionally keep us apart. My commitment to working with others regardless of party affiliation to serve our community remains unchanged.

“We can accomplish so much more and create a positive future for Doña Ana County and the State of New Mexico.

“Our fathers and grandfathers fought gallantly for our country and our right to choose. Let’s honor them by registering to vote and participate on Election Day,

Nov. 3.”
