Turning Point purse auction continues May 12-15

Posted

The Turning Point of Las Cruces’ fifth annual “Power of the Purse” silent and live designer purse auction generated almost $30,000 for the nonprofit, Executive Director Debbie Taylor said.

And because all the purses – from Coach, Fossil, Gucci, Guess and many more – were not sold at the event, Turning Point is extending the auction online Friday-Monday, May 12-15. To participate in the second-chance auction, visit tinyurl.com/43ewmmra.

The April 27 hybrid auction, hosted by Rio Grande Winery, was attended by about 250 people, Taylor said. Turning Point provides information and assistance with planned and unplanned pregnancies.

“So many people worked so hard to make this event possible,” Taylor said, expressing particular thanks to host Rio Grande Winery and to Carol McMillan, Fig and Brie, which donated food for the event’s VIP tables.

The event planning committee included Tierney Jeffers, Bridget Salopek, Keeley Kirksey, Stesha Clayburg, Jodi Redrearn and Colleen Libby. The auction was hosted by Sumer Rose-Nolen.

Turning Point, founded in 2010, is located at 3201 S. Main St., suite C. Appointment hours are 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday-Thursday.
