Bras for a Cause

Posted

Las Cruces activist Marci Dickerson begins the live auction for a bra she decorated for Bras for Cause, held Thursday night, Oct. 12, at New Mexico Farm and Ranch Museum. The event’s live and silent auctions of bras decorated by local artists raised $20,000 – double the goal set for the event – for Cancer Warriors, the program Dickerson started earlier this year to help women dealing with female cancers. Memorial Medical Center, a Cancer Warriors partner, is creating a wall of fame for bras that were purchased during Bras for a Cause and then donated to the hospital.
