Charles Alexander Richey
April 20, 1940 - December 10, 2025
Predeceased by his parents Charles Albert Richey and Ruth Alexander Richey.
He leaves behind his wife of 57 years, Joan Drexler, Brother Mark A. Richey (Kathleen)
of Boulder City, Nevada, Nephews Charles Arnold Richey of Las Vegas NV, Mark Richey
Jr of Cedar City Ut, Niece Kimberley Richey (Michael White) and Grandniece Zion
Richey-White of Eagle Rock CA.
Charles graduated high school in Boulder City, NV and went on to earn his Masters
degree in Physics from New Mexico State University. He was employed at White Sands
for 15 years where he was known as the "Guru of Optics." He then took his "dream job"
in California for 15 years.
Charles had many interests but canyon hiking in the Grand Canyon and Utah canyons
with his BFF, Larry Jones, was paramount. He was a pilot, built 2 aircraft, which
provided Chuck and Joan many years of enjoyment and travel.
Retirement in 1997 took him to Colorado where he started a consulting business.
Charles made many long-term, enduring friendships and will be greatly missed.
Dementia was his undoing. He took wings and left gently, softly, and with grace.
Cremation-no services.
