Creating with Serenity

Posted

Inspired by watching her cousin make jewelry, Serenity Cerros-Robb began experimenting on her own, and quickly discovered a passion for creating. After attending a summer entrepreneur camp with Kids Can, she gained the confidence, experience, and knowledge to turn her hobby into a business.

Serenity’s goal is to be her own boss, make her own money, and build something people truly enjoy. At just 13 years old, Serenity is already turning creativity into a growing business.

A seventh grader at Mesilla Valley Leadership Academy, Serenity is the founder of Serenity’s Creations, where she designs handmade jewelry and sewn accessories.

Serenity’s Creations features a variety of handmade items, including beaded earrings, bracelets, keychains, and sewn goods like scrunchies, bags, and makeup pouches. Her seasonal jewelry and unique bead combinations showcase her artistic eye and love for trying new ideas.

“When I’m bored, I just start creating,” she says — proof that inspiration can strike at any moment.

She sells her products at local farmers markets and community events, with prices ranging from $5 to $15. While jewelry comes quickly to her now, sewing takes more time, but she enjoys the challenge of learning and improving her skills.

Guided by her mom’s advice, “Life is what you make it,” Serenity is already shaping a bright entrepreneurial future.
