Creativity from the Noble Spear

Posted

Sixteen-year-old Emma Alkire is combining creativity, faith, and entrepreneurship through her business, Noble Spear. Her business name was inspired by the meaning of her last name, Alkire. With a lifelong love of art, Emma was inspired to start her own business after seeing other artists successfully sell their creations.

A homeschooled student, Emma's favorite subject is chemistry because it reveals the incredible complexities of life and how it works. Looking ahead, she hopes to become a Licensed Practical Nurse, bringing her passion for helping others into a future healthcare career.

Emma is a talented musician who plays both the violin and piano, and she also enjoys writing plays.

More than just a creative outlet, Noble Spear helps Emma raise money for church youth camps and mission trips. She creates beautiful watercolor cards, watercolor and acrylic bookmarks, and custom stickers. Her cards feature watercolor prints of her original artwork, while her bookmarks often showcase floral designs and inspirational quotes. Her stickers are digitally illustrated and printed on sticker paper.

Each piece reflects the time and care Emma invests in her craft. Creating a card or bookmark typically takes about 30 minutes, while sticker designs can take up to an hour. When inspiration strikes, she paints floral designs and experiments with different arrangements and color combinations to create something unique.

Emma's products are affordably priced, with cards available for $3, bookmarks ranging from $3 to $5, and stickers from $1 to $3. She can be contacted through her Instagram page, where customers can view and purchase her creations.

Emma has been involved with Kids Can for two years, first joining the homeschool program in the fall of 2022. Through her art, dedication, and entrepreneurial spirit, Emma is a wonderful example of a young person using her talents to make a positive impact.

She lives by a simple but powerful motto: "Let everything you do be done in love, diligence, and order."
