Dona Ana Community College's low-cost dental clinic will soon accept Medicaid.
The college's dental clinic is a full-service dental clinic and offers the full range of services, including cleanings, oral cancer screenings, full-mouth x-rays, periodontal therapy and teeth whitening.
The clinic accepts Delta Dental and will soon accept Medicaid. A client can also self-pay.
Elmer Gonzalez, dental program director, said the clinic is also a teaching facility for future hygienists and assistants.
“We provide a high level of care and attention to each and every client we see, and it shows with every patient who leaves our office,” Gonzalez said.
The clinic recently hired Dr. Bianca Ramirez, DMD as its new staff dentist. Dr. Ramirez has experience in dentistry of all ages. She has worked in El Paso and Deming. She has been an adjunct faculty at NMSU/DACC in Dental Hygiene and Assistant Programs.
