Posted

Doña Ana Community College (DACC) is happy to announce it will hold a block party on Friday, April 8th to honor its alumni, students and the community.

The party will be held at the DACC East Mesa campus, 2800 Sonoma Ranch Blvd., from 3 to 7 p.m. The event will kick off with a Distinguished Alumni & Student Scholarship mixer from 3 to 4 p.m. with live music provided by guitarist Jack Hansen. The mixer is invitation-only in order to honor four distinguished alumni of DACC and the contributions they have made to our community. In addition, student scholarship recipients will be acknowledged.

The public is invited to attend beginning at 4 p.m. with entertainment by Mariachi Jalisciense and Ballet Folklorico Corazon de Las Cruces. At 5 p.m., local cover band The Ghetto Blaster will perform. There will be A Taste of the Southwest hors d’oeuvres provided by Dickerson Catering and the DACC Culinary Arts program, photo booth, alumni registration, information about DACC and more.

“We are very fortunate to be able to bring back events to DACC. We truly love our community and are grateful to honor them through celebrations such as this block party,” said DACC President Dr. Mónica Torres.

The public can RSVP for the event by filling out the form at this link or emailing Corvus Lloyd at clloyd@dacc.nmsu.edu. Deadline to RSVP is Monday, April 4th.
