Franciscan Festival of Fine Art at 600 Holy Cross Road Saturday and Sunday. It features 80-90 artists who display a variety of fine arts, including paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, wood works, jewelry, and more. The show also features an enchilada dinner and other food vendors, a silent auction, a raffle, live music on two stages, and a beer/wine garden.

Hatch Chile Festival! Saturday & Sunday from 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. A Chile Festival with a sampling some of the finest Chile while you enjoy food, crafts, an auction, live music and more. Birding Basics Class. Mesilla Valley Audubon Society will present a three-part class on Birding Basics on consecutive Tuesday evenings, September 1, 8, and 15, in the Creative Arts room of Las Cruces Village Senior Living. The class is free and is intended for those with little or no experience birding. Topics covered include bird identification, birding locations, recording and sharing observations, bird conservation, and meeting and learning from other birders.
