Fall Into Community with your CFSNM

Posted

There’s something special about fall in Southern New Mexico. As the evenings grow cooler and the season brings new opportunities to gather, it’s a time to slow down, reconnect with friends and neighbors, and appreciate the people and places that make this region home.

That’s the idea behind Fall Into Community, a cozy fall festival hosted by the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico on Saturday, Oct. 17.

The evening will bring together families, friends, local businesses, and community members for a celebration featuring live music by Proud Pete, food from Yalla Falafel and other local vendors, seasonal games, a live auction, and an online silent auction. It’s a chance to enjoy the season, spend time with others, and discover more of what makes our region special.

The event will also include a special celebration of the Gerald Deabel Foundation’s Volunteer of the Year Award, recognizing an individual whose dedication and generosity make a lasting impact on our community. It’s an opportunity to honor the people who give their time and heart to others and make Southern New Mexico such a special place to call home.

For the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico, this gathering reflects the work happening throughout the year to connect generosity with community needs and create opportunities for individuals and organizations across the region.

In 2025, CFSNM awarded more than $2 million in grants to nonprofit organizations and provided scholarships to 411 students, helping strengthen local programs and support students as they pursue their goals. CFSNM also distributed more than $1.2 million to support recovery efforts following devastating fires and floods, helping communities access resources during challenging times.

These efforts reflect the many ways CFSNM supports Southern New Mexico, from investing in education and strengthening nonprofit organizations to helping communities recover and rebuild.

Fall Into Community is a chance to celebrate the people and partnerships that make this work possible. Through an evening of connection, local entertainment, and seasonal fun, the event highlights the generosity and community spirit that help Southern New Mexico thrive.

Local businesses and community partners are invited to participate through sponsorship opportunities, helping make the event possible while investing in the communities they serve. Volunteer opportunities are also available for those who would like to lend a hand and help make the evening a success.

As the season changes, we hope you’ll join us for an evening that celebrates the people, partnerships, and shared purpose that make Southern New Mexico home.

Fall Into Community takes place Saturday, Oct. 17, from 4-8 p.m. at the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico, located at 2640 El Paseo Rd. in Las Cruces. Tickets and sponsorship opportunities are available at CFSNM.org.
