The Las Cruces International Film Festival (LCIFF) and New Mexico State University’s Creative Media Institute (CMI) are hosting a drive-in featuring films made by CMI students and local filmmakers at Allen Theatres Telshor 12, 2811 N. Telshor Blvd.

The drive-ins are Tuesdays, Aug. 25 and Sept. 1. Gates open at 7:30 p.m. for entry into the Telshor 12 parking lot. Screenings begin at 8 p.m.

Tickets are available at the gate for $15 per vehicle.

Patrons are asked to follow social distancing and to wear facemasks “upon entry or when in contact with any staff.” Patrons are also asked to stay within their parking spaces during the show.

"LCIFF is excited to share the best of CMI student work, the filmmakers of tomorrow, with the community,” said LCIFF Executive Director Ross Marks, who is a CMI professor. “We are also proud to show the best of New Mexico's filmmakers with our New Mexico short film showcase. The film festival partnered with Allen Theaters to remind people of the joy and excitement of seeing films on the big screen, especially in this fun and safe drive in format."
