From firing marshmallows to handmade crafts

Emma Jean Christensen thrives through entrepreneurship

Posted

The journey began with a family project making laser-guided marshmallow shooters with her brothers and turned into a passion for business that has grown ever since for Emma Jean Christensen.

After launching her first official business, UROCK Co., in 2017, Emma Jean continued to evolve — refreshing her brand, improving her displays, expanding her product line, and ultimately building a business that reflects her personal growth and creativity.

Today, she runs a whimsical handmade craft business featuring macramé angels and dolls, seasonal items like school-spirit trolls, wooden holiday trees, and unique canvas art. With products ranging from $1 treasures to beautifully crafted wooden ornament sets priced at $30, she pours care into each creation, taking as much time as needed to make every piece special.

Currently a senior at Organ Mountain High School, Emma Jean loves playing volleyball, baking, and being active with her family, friends, and church youth groups.

From her very first Kids Can Market experience at age eight, this young entrepreneur discovered the joy of creating, selling, and dreaming big. She credits her mom for encouraging her to try new things and step outside her comfort zone, along with the quiet guidance she feels through her faith and relationship with Jesus Christ.

Now a seasoned participant and even a mentor to younger Kids Can vendors, she hopes to one day own a photography business that will specialize in family portraits and she has the dedication to make it happen.

You can find Emma Jean at the Farmers Market monthly until this summer and then she will be leaving for a church mission trip where she will further spread her love and her faith. You can also email her at eternalharmony24@gmail.com or message her on Facebook Messenger @MJ.Eternal.Harmony

“Taking on the challenge of being an entrepreneur is worthwhile and will help you prepare for success in your future,” Emma Jean advises other young people. “Give it a try, you will not regret it.”
