Ten local authors from The Las Cruces Writers Group are holding a book signing and sale 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 11, at the Mesilla Valley Mall, Las Cruces.
“We have books in so many genres that there would surely be something for everyone,” said Charmayne Samuelson, a member of the group. “We are being hosted by the Mesilla Valley Mall as part of their community outreach.
She said although the group has been around a number of years, just recently, with new leadership, they have a new vision for the group: writers helping writers. With that motto in mind, the group has expanded from a handful just a few months ago to over 30 active members today and includes those who are just thinking about writing to those who are published.
“We are welcoming new members to come on board,” Samuelson said. “We meet monthly and have a business meeting and then educational breakout sessions on publishing, marketing, book signings, writing, editing, and support of each other to get ideas from mind to pen to publication.”
The 10 authors are all local.
