Osteen Media Group has named Hugh Osteen as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective Jan. 1, 2026.

Osteen (Hubert Graham Osteen III) has served as the company’s chief operating officer since 2021, and brings 12 years of experience across its community multimedia newspaper properties, which include the Las Cruces (N.M.) Bulletin, Clay (Fla.) Today, and the Ponte Vedra (Fla.) Recorder. As COO, he has led the company’s digital expansion and operational efficiency initiatives.

In his new role, Osteen will take the reins at Osteen Media Group and oversee daily business operations and business strategy across all properties.

“This is a proud moment for our family and our company,” said Julie Osteen, who has served as CEO since 2021 and will continue as president, focusing on strategic initiatives.

“Hugh has demonstrated exceptional leadership in his role as COO, and his vision for the future of community news positions us well for our next chapter,” she said. “I am confident the organization will continue to thrive under his leadership.”

Osteen began his career with OMG at the Las Cruces Bulletin, and has lived in Jacksonville (Fla.) since 2014, holding multiple roles at both the Ponte Vedra Recorder and Clay Today.

He and his wife, Kathleen, have a daughter, Emily Gray, 6.
