Library throws birthday party for Taylor Swift

Posted

Attention, local Swifties: The Las Cruces Public Libraries plans a celebration of singer-songwriter Taylor Swift over Dec. 11 and 12.

Staff and the public will make friendship bracelets from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday 11th, Swift’s birthday, while singing along to her music; costumes are encouraged and party favors will be awarded, according to a news release that also promised cupcakes as well as all the materials needed for the bracelets.

The celebration resumes for a Taylor Swift trivia contest, 6-7:30 p.m. on Thursday the 12th, with groups of up to six competing. Here, again, costumes will be rewarded with party favors, and, yes, there will be cupcakes.

Registration is not required for either event, and further information is available via librarian Deanna Duff 575-528-4005 or dduffy@lascruces.gov.
