Memorial Medical Center (MMC) has named Victoria Grasso, DO, as chief of medical staff.
Grasso is a board-certified family medicine physician who has practiced in the region since 2016, MMC said in a news release.
As chief of staff, Grasso is responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the medical staff and promoting effective communication among the staff, hospital administration and the MMC board of trustees, the news release said.
Grasso has been MMC’s hospitalist medical director for the past four years.
“Dr. Grasso will do an excellent job of leading the more than 500 providers on our medical staff and welcoming future physicians in a number of specialties,” said MMC CEO John Harris. “In addition to providing a continued focus on our top priorities of providing quality and safe care, she will be integral in the pursuit of our mission of making communities healthier.”
After earning her credentials as a doctor of osteopathic Medicine from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2013, Grasso completed a family medicine residency at Plainview Hospital Northwell Health in Plainview, New York.
