Ongoing construction at the new Columbia Elementary School, 4555 Elks Drive, will cause a temporary closure on Zertuche Road between May 16 and June 6.
Residents along Zertuche Road and El Nido Road will be directly affected, but motorists in the area are encouraged to use caution and seek alternate routes.
The closure is necessary to allow construction crews to cap an existing manhole and complete asphalt paving in the area following underground utility work. To avoid repeated disruptions to traffic, the road will remain closed for the duration of the project until all work is completed.
Columbia Elementary School is expected to open for the 2025-2026 school year.
