A public meeting, via Zoom, will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 10, for applicants and the general public to learn more about El Paso Electric’s (EPE) $20 million economic development grant.

EPE established the grant “to drive regional growth and economic vibrancy in southern New Mexico by providing $1 million per year for 20 years to chosen applicants,” the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico (CFSNM) said in a news release. The fund is housed at CFSNM.

The grant fund, which is governed by independent board advisers Ed Camden, John Hummer and Jerean Camunez Hutchinson, “will provide funding for projects focused on job creation, business support and general economic growth achievement,” the news release said.
