Statements have been pouring in from officials in response to the shooting at Young Park at around 10 p.m. Friday, March 21. Three are reported dead and 15 are reported injured.
The Las Cruces Police Department said the gunfire was the result of an altercation between two groups. No arrests have yet been reported.
Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham said state resources will be sent to help Las Cruces authorities search for the perpetrators. She also linked the crime to a "disturbing rise in violent crime in Las Cruces--which has increased by 46 percent compared to last year--demands immediate and sustained attention."
Dona Ana County issued a statement saying it "joins the community in mourning the tragic loss of lives following a shooting that took place last night at Young Park..." and urged the public to remember that if you or anyone you know is struggling right now, you can reach out to:

Las Cruces Police said the Young Park shooting was the result of an altercation between two groups of people and that the altercation led to gunfire between both groups. Police did not say what guns were used but they said handgun shell casings were found. They also said they are following up on multiple leads.

Las Cruces Police Department have reported the ages of the three deceased in the Young Park shooting that occured late Friday, March 21.
Two of the deceased were men ages 19 and 18 and one was a 16-year-old boy, the Las Cruces Police Department said through the department's Facebook page.
Shortly after 10 p.m. on Friday, March 21 a shooting took place at a regularly held car show at Young Park, 850 South Walnut Street.
The Las Cruces Police Department have confirmed multiple victims. As of 12:30 P.M. Saturday, the police confirmed three dead and 15 injured.
Young Park and all roadways leading to the park are temporarily closed while investigators conduct their work.
No suspect or suspects have been confirmed and police are asking the public for help in finding the shooter or shooters.
New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham said through a Facebook post that she is "heartbroken" and "horrified" over the shooting and that she is mobilizing state resources to support local law enforcement in their investigation. She also encouraged anyone who has information, video or other images that might help police identify the shooter or shooters, to contact the Las Cruces Police Department immediately.

According to the Las Cruces Police Department, at least three people have died from a shooting at Young Park in Las Cruces. The confirmed dead are a 19-year-old, an 18-year-old and a 16-year-old. No names have been released.
There are at least 14 other injured. Those injured range from 16 years of age to 36.
No arrests have been made, but police are following multiple leads, according to the Las Cruces Police Facebook page.

Las Cruces Police said in a Facebook post that there were multiple gunshot victims.
“Most were transported to local hospitals. Some were taken to the University Medical Center of El Paso,” the post read.
A suspect, or suspects, have not been identified and police are asking for public help. The community is asked to call 575-526-0795.
Las Cruces Police Department are also requesting the public for any video of the shooting that occurred at Young Park on Friday, March 21.
“Las Cruces police are requesting anyone who has video of the events that occurred Friday evening at Young Park, particularly video that shows the shooting or subjects with firearms, to submit the video so investigators can analyze it and help develop a better understanding of the incident,” according to the Las Cruces Police Facebook page.

The Las Cruces police department are working with New Mexico State Police the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI and agents from the Bureau of Alcohol and Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
